SERVER (FULL AND PART TIME)
About The Position
Morrison Living is hiring full-time and part-time Servers at Roseville Commons in Roseville, California. The position takes food and beverage orders and delivers items efficiently to dining room guests. The schedule varies by day, with shifts listed as 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; additional details are provided during the interview. The pay range is $17.50 to $19.00 per hour. Prior serving experience is preferred, but the employer is willing to train. Servers greet guests, take and deliver orders, provide knowledgeable and attentive service, and help maintain a clean, safe dining environment. They coordinate with kitchen staff, handle tickets and cash according to procedures, respond to guest needs and concerns, and support other departments during special events. The role requires sensitivity and confidentiality when personal or medical information is shared. Responsibilities
- Promptly and warmly greet dining room guests and take food and beverage orders following established service steps.
- Deliver food promptly and professionally while following safe food-handling and sanitation standards; follow up on additional needs or requests.
- Understand menu items and ingredients, advise guests about food and drink combinations when requested, accommodate reasonable requests, and note preferences.
- Demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
- Communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate orders and accommodation of special requests.
- Communicate effectively and remain flexible and patient with guests and staff.
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
- Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared.
- Address complaints or issues promptly and relay relevant information or complaints to the supervisor.
- Set up the dining room before and after service and keep it clean and neat in accordance with sanitation standards.
- Operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea and soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
- Work with staff in other departments during special events and functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
