About The Position

Morrison Living is hiring full-time and part-time Servers at Roseville Commons in Roseville, California. The position takes food and beverage orders and efficiently delivers items to dining room guests. Schedules are full-time or part-time, with days varying and hours listed as 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; further details are provided during the interview. Prior serving experience is preferred, but the employer is willing to train. The pay range is $17.50 to $19.00 per hour.

Servers warmly greet dining room guests, take orders, deliver food and beverages, and follow up on guest needs. They maintain food safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and service standards; understand menu items, ingredients, specialized diets, and allergens; communicate with kitchen staff about orders and special requests; handle tickets and cash properly; and promptly address or report complaints. The role may also support other departments during special events and functions and includes other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Promptly and warmly greet dining room guests.
• Take food and beverage orders efficiently while following established steps of service.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally while following safe food-handling and sanitation standards.
• Follow up with guests to address additional needs or requests.
• Understand menu items and ingredients, and advise guests on food and drink combinations when requested.
• Accommodate reasonable requests and note guest preferences; demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
• Communicate with back-of-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
• Communicate effectively and remain flexible and patient with guests and staff.
• Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
• Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared.
• Address complaints or issues promptly and relay relevant information or complaints to a supervisor.
• Set up the dining room before service and restore it after service; keep the area clean and meet sanitation standards.
• Operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea and soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
• Work with staff from other departments during special events and functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
