About The Position
The Server prepares the restaurant for service, welcomes guests, and guides them through their dining experience with knowledgeable, descriptive menu recommendations. The role includes accurately taking orders and confirming special requests, collaborating with restaurant and kitchen/bar staff, resolving guest concerns, and presenting bills promptly and accurately. This is a part-time position at The Ridge Hotel.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of food service experience.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the restaurant before each service period.
- Greet guests when they arrive at their tables.
- Guide guests through the menu with descriptive selling and culinary knowledge.
- Take orders accurately and confirm special requests.
- Collaborate with other servers and kitchen and bar staff.
- Assist guests with concerns and guide them toward a satisfactory resolution.
- Present bills in a timely and accurate manner.
