About The Position

The Server provides dining service to Guests efficiently, courteously, and professionally in accordance with Grand Casino service standards. The role serves food and beverages, responds to Guest needs, maintains clean and sanitary dining and service areas, and works collaboratively with other Associates to support smooth operations. Servers may learn and work in multiple food or beverage outlets.

Requirements

At least one year of previous bartending and/or serving experience.
Alcohol Awareness Training certification is required within two months.
Knowledge of the Dram Shop Act and servers’ responsibilities and rights under it.
Knowledge of gaming and beverage regulations.
Ability to build trustworthy and collaborative relationships.
Organization and flexibility to meet the needs of the business, Guests, and Associates.
Demonstrate the company culture values of honesty, humility, truth, wisdom, love, respect, and bravery.
Flexibility to work various roles and outlets.

Responsibilities

Promptly and courteously serve food and beverages to restaurant Guests according to Venue standards.
Take and fill drink orders and assist in keeping the dining area clean and neat.
Follow Grand Casinos’ cash-handling control policies and procedures.
Clean and reset tables for new seating, ensuring they meet Venue standards.
Know venue menus and offerings and use suggestive selling techniques to enhance the Guest dining experience.
Restock service stations with glassware, silverware, beverages, napkins, and other needed items.
Attend continually to Guest needs and promptly fulfill requests.
Answer Guest questions and direct concerns to appropriate management.
Resolve Guest challenges quickly and courteously in accordance with department standards.
Promote mutual respect, dignity, and integrity among Associates by setting a positive example.
Work as a team member to help produce a smooth, efficient operation that meets high Guest-service standards.
Assist other personnel with maintenance, side work, and opening and closing duties as necessary.
Maintain a clean and sanitary area in accordance with established health regulations.
Apply knowledge of the Dram Shop Act and servers’ responsibilities and rights under it.
Follow applicable gaming and beverage regulations.
Work with Utilities, Bartenders, Supervisors, and other pertinent Grand Casino Associates to support efficient operations.
Learn and work in multiple food or beverage outlets as needed.
Begin scheduled shifts on time, schedule PTO in advance, and remain flexible in scheduling or supporting other Associates by assuming shifts or meeting department demands.
Complete required work within expected guidelines.
