About The Position
The Restaurant Busser sets and clears restaurant tables, stocks service stations, and assists food servers with table service. The role includes preparing tables for resetting, maintaining clean and stocked stations, serving beverages and bread, transporting dirty tableware to the dishwashing area, and completing assigned cleaning and side-work tasks. Additional duties may include handling spills and guest requests, greeting and seating guests, and other duties assigned by a supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Quickly clear dirty table settings and promptly reset tables with the prescribed serviceware.
- Maintain the stock and cleanliness of stations during all meal periods, including necessary silverware, linen, and condiments.
- Wipe down booths and chairs, move tables and chairs, and clean floors as necessary.
- Serve guests beverages, breads, and butter, replenish them as needed, and assist servers with food and beverage service.
- Transport dirty tableware from the dining room to the dishwashing area.
- Perform general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by a supervisor.
- Fold napkins throughout the day to maintain an adequate supply.
- Complete assigned side work, including replenishing condiments and restocking side stands.
- Perform other assigned duties, such as cleaning unexpected spills, handling special guest requests, and greeting and seating guests.
