About The Position

The Valorian Los Angeles is an iconic lifestyle hotel above the Sunset Strip, known for its bold design, creative energy, city views, and vibrant social scene. The hotel seeks a passionate, customer-focused Server to help create exceptional dining experiences. In a fast-paced environment, the Server provides attentive, personalized service, shares menu recommendations, and helps ensure a seamless guest experience.

Requirements

Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Meet the minimum age requirement of the jurisdiction.

Nice To Haves

Six months to one year of serving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and create a positive first impression.
Guide guests through the menu, offer recommendations, and answer questions.
Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them to the kitchen and bar.
Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, meeting presentation and quality standards.
Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized service.
Clear tables and keep the dining area clean and organized.
Process guest payments and handle cash transactions accurately.
Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to deliver smooth, exceptional service.
