Server - Food Sportsbook and Bar
About The Position
The Server works in the Food Sportsbook and Bar, providing guest service and supporting restaurant operations. The role includes greeting and serving guests, taking orders through the POS system, processing payments, maintaining dining areas, and completing opening and closing duties. The server may also assist with food preparation, handling, stocking, and cashier duties in the casino restaurant. The position operates primarily indoors in controlled temperatures, with occasional exposure to outdoor climates. The casino operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and this position requires availability for a variety of hours, including weekends and holidays. The listed pay is $4.25 per hour plus tips. Duties may change, and other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time (7+ hours).
- Be available for regularly scheduled work and a variety of hours, including holidays and weekends.
- Have knowledge of Indiana Gaming and ATC (state) regulations, as well as internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and maintain a proper dining experience by delivering items, fulfilling guest needs, upselling items, offering drinks and desserts, removing courses, refilling drinks, and replenishing silverware.
- Take orders and send them to kitchen staff through the POS system.
- Maintain working knowledge of the menu, promotions, special events, and other property information.
- Help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the restaurant by completing side work designated by the manager on duty.
- Accurately collect payment for orders, follow point-of-sale procedures, and provide receipts to guests.
- Perform opening and closing duties as designated by the manager on duty.
- Assist with food preparation, food handling, stocking, and cashier duties in the casino restaurant as needed.
- Follow Indiana Gaming and ATC regulations, internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Follow the Company Service Standards model.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
