About The Position

The Server works in the community Culinary Services Department, providing hands-on serving functions. The role is responsible for maintaining high standards of service and cleanliness, including food quality and presentation, dining room appearance, and efficient, courteous meal service. Servers help create an inviting dining atmosphere and represent the community warmly while supporting business decisions and employee engagement that contribute to revenue and occupancy.

Requirements

Completed at least sophomore year of high school.
Food Handlers Certification.
Have or be able to obtain a Finger Print Clearance Card, CPR/First Aid, and TB testing clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience in food service work.
Experience working with seniors.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in accordance with community standards.
Follow food quality, appearance, and presentation standards.
Maintain dining room appearance and presentation standards.
Serve with speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
Set tables and keep work stations in proper order.
Take orders, provide service and requested items courteously, and answer questions about menu items.
Clear dishes during and after meals, assist with dishwashing, and reset tables.
Use proper serving etiquette and promote an inviting dining atmosphere.
Know the diets provided and serve them according to policy and procedure.
Represent the community warmly and help create a positive marketing environment.
Support a culture in which business decisions and employee engagement contribute to revenue and occupancy.
