About The Position

Securitas is hiring a part-time Security Officer to help maintain a safe and secure environment for client sites. The officer actively monitors premises, patrols locations, preserves order, and enforces site regulations and directives relating to personnel, visitors, and the property. The role also provides customer service and information to client employees and customers. No prior experience is necessary. Training is provided for candidates entering the security industry. The position requires completing pre-employment screening and meeting applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements. Work may involve standing, walking, occasional climbing or lifting up to 25 pounds, exposure to inclement weather and varying environments, and using protective gear and safety protocols as needed. Overtime or responding to urgent situations may be required. The role is listed at $16 per hour. Requirements

At least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED.
Legal right to work in the United States.
Reliable communication and transportation.
Ability to speak, read, and write English.

Responsibilities

Manage access to client sites, screen visitors, and assist employees and guests.
Provide courteous, respectful, and professional customer service.
Monitor entrances, exits, and remote access points; prevent unauthorized entry and calmly address disturbances.
Patrol buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify hazards, violations, and unsafe conditions.
Protect evidence, set up barriers, and respond to emergencies, including fire, medical incidents, hazardous materials, and severe weather.
Maintain logs, write reports, and communicate incidents to client representatives, management, or public safety authorities.
Ensure property removal complies with client policies and standards.
Perform other tasks of similar scope as required by the site.
