About The Position

Manor Vail Lodge is seeking Servers for its full-time/part-time seasonal positions. The Server will be responsible for serving meals to patrons in the bar and restaurant, working in either The Fitz Bar and/or the upscale Ridge + River Restaurant. Manor Vail Lodge is a full-service condominium property located steps from Vail Village, offering studio, one, two, and three-bedroom condominiums, plus luxury penthouses. Amenities include two outdoor heated swimming pools, four hot tubs, a spa, fitness center, The Fitz Bar, and Ridge + River restaurant. The property is managed by Mountain Mastery Management Inc.

Requirements

Server experience preferred.
Able to obtain the TIPS or local responsible alcohol awareness certificate.

Responsibilities

Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service.
Writes order on check or memorizes it.
Relays order to kitchen and serves courses from kitchen and service bars.
Garnishes and decorates dishes preparatory to serving.
Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.
Totals bill and accepts payment.
Clears and resets counters or tables at conclusion of each course.
Opening duties for The Fitz Bar and/or Ridge + River Restaurant, including setting up the dining area, stocking stations, and ensuring all equipment is operational.
Closing duties for The Fitz Bar and/or Ridge + River Restaurant, including cleaning and resetting tables, polishing glassware and silverware, and securing the premises.
Running side work during shifts, such as refilling water pitchers, pre-bussing tables, stocking silverware, assisting with food running, communicating kitchen wait times, replenishing bread service, and monitoring table turns.
Maintaining service standards by staying attentive to table cleanliness, ensuring glassware is spotless, offering to fold napkins, and maintaining knowledge of menu changes and wine pairings.
