About The Position

The Housekeeping House Attendant provides supplies and assistance to Housekeeping Staff, Manager on Duty and Front Desk Staff. Helps maintain cleanliness of properties public spaces.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
Frequently required to stand.
Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and taste or smell.
Must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include Distance vision and Peripheral vision.

Responsibilities

Moves and arranges furniture.
Turns Mattresses
Arranges decorations, apparatus, or furniture for banquets and social functions.
Collects soiled linens for laundering, and receives and stores linen supplies in linen closet.
Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor.
Cleans Fireplaces.
Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays, if applicable.
Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
Replenishes bathroom supplies.
Replaces light bulbs.
Delivers television sets, ironing boards, baby cribs, and rollaway beds to guest rooms.
Cleans and removes debris and snow from walkways and stairways.
Supports overall housekeeping operations.
