About The Position

Terrain Café is a chef-driven, garden-to-table restaurant celebrating seasonal ingredients and the art of gathering. The Server is part of the front-of-house team and helps create meaningful, memorable dining experiences by providing thoughtful, personalized service in a welcoming, nature-inspired setting. The role includes guiding guests through seasonal menus and beverage offerings, taking and delivering orders, offering wine and beverage service, and maintaining café service standards. Servers work collaboratively with teammates and participate in team meetings and seasonal tastings. The posting prefers prior experience in an elevated, high-volume environment and flexible availability, which may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and select holidays. The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds and standing, bending, reaching, and moving for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized, elevated service in a welcoming, nature-inspired setting.
• Guide guests through seasonal menus and beverage offerings, explaining dishes, ingredients, sourcing, local purveyors, specials, and seasonal updates.
• Follow steps of service consistently and anticipate guest needs, including accurately noting allergies, preferences, and other needs.
• Greet and engage guests with enthusiasm, poise, and genuine hospitality.
• Take and accurately input orders using the Toast POS system.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and professionally.
• Provide tableside wine service and beverage presentations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization across service areas.
• Process payments accurately and follow café standards.
• Recommend food and drink pairings and educate guests on wines, craft beers, non-alcoholic drinks, and specialty coffees.
• Complete seasonal menu testing as directed.
• Support teammates, collaborate with peers, and adapt to guest needs and service pacing.
• Participate in daily team meetings and seasonal tastings.
