About The Position

A Server provides stellar guest service and an enjoyable dining experience in a theater setting, serving as the link between guests and the kitchen. The role involves taking and entering food and beverage orders, relaying orders for preparation, delivering items, processing payments, and making sure guests have what they need while minimizing disruptions during films. Servers also support theater operations through cleaning, opening and closing work, guest assistance, and collaboration with other team members.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older.
At least 1 year of full-service serving experience.
ServSafe, Food Handler’s, and Alcohol certifications are required.
Ability to use the Vista Point of Sale System and perform basic math.
Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with employees, guests, and management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to stay organized and prioritize in a fast-paced, changing environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
Strong communication skills and ability to handle difficult or stressful situations positively.
Integrity and reliability.
Flexible availability, including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

Proactively greet guests in the theater and respond promptly to the Plex Call System.
Follow In Seat Dining procedures and provide friendly, attentive service.
Explain menu items and promotions and suggest add-ons or upgrades.
Run food and beverages, bus trays, clean seats, and assist other team members.
Enter food orders accurately and promptly in the point-of-sale system, and check that guests have received their orders and have what they need.
Obtain credit cards when orders are placed and process payments accurately and at appropriate times to minimize disruptions to films.
Follow alcohol service and safety procedures, avoid serving intoxicated guests, request management intervention when needed, and check identification for minimum-age compliance.
Complete daily server paperwork accurately and on time.
Handle guest complaints and requests, directing guests to the appropriate resource when unable to help; inform management about complaints and maintenance requests.
Assist with crowd control and guest seating as needed.
Notify management or the projectionist about movie projection issues.
Complete opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures, including side work.
Attend and participate in trainings and meetings.
Clean theaters between movie sessions and at the end of the night.
Deliver food and drinks to assigned sections and provide support to other sections.
Perform other duties as assigned.
