About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a service-oriented Server to join the team at Graduate by Hilton Eugene. The position involves providing attentive guest service in a hotel restaurant, taking and delivering food orders, maintaining a clean and properly set station, following applicable liquor regulations, and handling checks and payments. Servers may also assist with bussing tables and perform other assigned duties. The role requires flexible hours and shifts.

Requirements

• At least a high school education.
• At least one year of experience in a hotel or restaurant serving role.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Ability to exceed the expectations of guests and team members.
• Ability to operate available equipment such as cash registers and calculators.
• Basic mathematical skills for making change and issuing refunds.
• Ability to work flexible hours and shifts.

Nice To Haves

• Post-high-school education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Seat guests and take accurate food orders.
• Monitor food distribution to ensure meals reach the correct guests and are properly prepared and presented, and that the buffet is appealing.
• Check the station before, during, and after each shift to ensure proper setup and cleanliness.
• Follow state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations when serving alcoholic beverages, including rules concerning minors and intoxicated guests.
• Learn menu items, preparation, and service procedures.
• Total checks, present them to guests, and accept payment.
• Assist with bussing tables.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
