About The Position

The Server works as part of a team taking orders and serving food and beverages to restaurant guests. The role focuses on guest satisfaction, creating a welcoming dining experience, and ensuring high-quality food and beverage service. Servers present menus, answer questions, make suggestions, serve guests, maintain tables and restaurant cleanliness, handle cash according to policy, and provide responsible alcohol service. The role requires working collaboratively and meeting the physical demands described in the posting.

Requirements

Be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages, as applicable by state.
Hold certifications and licenses required by the local Health Department and Alcoholic Beverage Commission statutes.
Have clear written and verbal communication skills.
Have the physical abilities to perform the job functions, including carrying food and beverages and being physically able to dance.
Be able to handle cash transactions responsibly.
Be able to coordinate needs for all tables within the assigned station.
Be able to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Provide a positive service experience for every guest and help guests feel important and welcome.
Ensure hot food is served hot and cold food is served cold, and adhere to timing standards.
Look for ways to consolidate service and increase table turns.
Present menus, answer questions, and make food and beverage suggestions.
Serve guests in an accommodating manner and use a positive suggestive-sales approach.
Know the food, liquor, beer, wine, and retail offerings.
Pre-bus tables and maintain table cleanliness; bus tables.
Look for ways to avoid waste and limit costs.
Help keep the restaurant clean and safe, and complete daily cleaning-calendar tasks.
Provide responsible service of alcoholic beverages.
Deliver food and beverages to any table as needed.
Participate in Celebration.
Follow all cash-handling policies and procedures.
