About The Position

Greet restaurant patrons, answer phone calls and menu questions, and help ensure guests are seated promptly and enjoy a favorable dining experience. The Host Cashier may handle payments and cash-register operations, assist with table bussing during peak periods, promote casino events and programs, provide directions around the casino, resolve minor guest complaints, and help maintain the dining room. Some venues may also require preparing sandwiches, coffee, pastries, and other menu items. Reports to the Venue Manager. The position pays $14.00 per hour and is part-time. Schedule: Friday 5:30 PM–11:00 PM and Saturday–Sunday 3:30 PM–10:00 PM. Weekly Earned Wage Access is an option.

Requirements

Speak, read, and write English.
Handle cash responsibly.
Calculate basic math functions related to POS cash and credit transactions, cash reconciliation, and product inventory.
At least 1 year of experience in a high-volume fine-dining or casual restaurant.

Responsibilities

Greet restaurant patrons, answer phone calls, and help ensure guests are seated promptly.
Recognize guests by remembering names, faces, and information that helps each guest feel unique.
Answer patrons’ menu questions.
Distribute seating as equally as possible among food servers.
Receive customer payments, operate the cash register, make change, issue receipts or tickets, and verify register totals against cash on hand.
Pre-bus and fully bus tables during peak periods as needed.
Promote current casino events and programs and provide guests with directions to casino areas.
Resolve minor guest complaints in a manner consistent with departmental philosophy.
Monitor the dining room and ensure the floor is maintained and free of debris.
Prepare sandwiches, coffee, pastries, and other menu items when required by the venue.
Perform other assigned responsibilities.
