About The Position

AJ’s Steakhouse is an award-winning restaurant celebrating Iowa’s steaks and chops. Servers help provide guests with an experience by sharing information about menu items, dishes, and beverages; taking accurate orders; maintaining dining tables; and ensuring food is presented accurately and properly. Training is provided. The position pays $8.90 per hour, with stated total earnings of $34.00–$36.00 including tips; tips are not guaranteed. Employees may choose to receive pay daily, weekly, or biweekly. Hours and days off vary.

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for an eight-hour shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push a cart up to 150 pounds.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and varied hours.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

• Food service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with information about menu items, dishes, and beverages and take orders accurately.
• Clear dining tables and take dishes to the kitchen’s dishwashing area.
