About The Position
The Field's at the Wilderness Server takes guest food and beverage orders and enters them into a computer for transmittal to kitchen staff. This is a part- or full-time position requiring night and weekend availability. Wilderness Resort describes itself as a family-owned resort focused on guest satisfaction and providing employees with a fun, safe, and memorable experience.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Greet guests and introduce yourself.
- Present menus, answer questions about menu and buffet items, and make recommendations upon request.
- Inform customers of daily specials.
- Check guests’ identification to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consuming alcoholic beverages.
- Take food and beverage orders and write them on order slips, memorize them, or enter them into computers for kitchen staff.
- Serve food and beverages and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as required.
- Perform side work and prepare areas for the next shift.
- Check with guests to ensure they are enjoying their meals and address any problems.
- Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters and take them to the kitchen for cleaning.
- Prepare itemized checks, total costs, and collect guest payments.
- Advise a manager of potential concerns or issues related to excessive drinking to help limit problems and liability.
- Perform busser duties as needed.
- Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and presentable work environment.
