About The Position

The Server-Bartender works in the front of the house serving golf members and customers, taking orders, presenting food and drinks, and removing dishes and glassware in a timely manner. The role works closely with kitchen and club management staff to help ensure efficient restaurant operations and also assists with special events and banquets. This is a tipped, part-time position at Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club in Destin, Florida.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Passion for hospitality.
Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Strong multitasking, organizational, and time-management skills; ability to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.
Ability to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English; understand simple instructions and workplace documents; and communicate information effectively.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Ability to apply common-sense understanding to detailed but straightforward written or oral instructions and address problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Valid driver’s license held for at least three years, with no major violations and no more than two minor violations in the past three years.
Ability to follow applicable safety rules and regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, with reasonable accommodations where applicable.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of experience in food and beverage or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge of the game of golf is an asset.

Responsibilities

Engage with customers and members in a friendly manner and seat them as needed.
Answer questions about the menu, specials, and facilities.
Make suggestions based on customer and member tastes and preferences.
Verify customers’ identification and age requirements.
Mix traditional and creative cocktails.
Build rapport with regular customers and members to create a positive atmosphere.
Accurately record food and drink orders.
Communicate orders to kitchen staff in a timely fashion.
Process customer and member payments.
Clean and/or polish glasses, silverware, bar utensils, dining tables, and the bar.
Record and balance cash and credit card receipts and prepare cash deposits.
Assist with special events and banquets.
Perform other duties as assigned.
