About The Position

Manthey Hospitality is hiring a part-time Bartender to create memorable beverage experiences aboard Yacht StarShip. The role involves preparing and serving drinks, providing attentive guest service, and maintaining an organized, clean bar while following responsible alcohol service, health, sanitation, and vessel safety procedures. Bartenders work with servers and crew aboard a moving vessel and may work cruises lasting 2–5 hours, with occasional shifts up to 12 hours. The position requires availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as needed, as well as the ability to perform physical tasks for extended periods in indoor and outdoor conditions.

Requirements

• Previous bartending experience in a restaurant, hotel, catering, or event setting.
• Knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.
• Friendly, guest-focused attitude and professional presentation.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to maintain accuracy and composure during busy service.
• Comfort working aboard a moving vessel.
• Ability to carry items up to 50 lbs and navigate stairs safely.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods in indoor and outdoor conditions.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as needed.
• Ability to work 2–5 hour cruises, with occasional shifts up to 12 hours.
• Willingness to complete required alcohol service training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages consistently and efficiently.
• Provide friendly, attentive service and recommend beverages based on guest preferences.
• Follow recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Verify identification and follow responsible alcohol service procedures.
• Enter orders accurately, process payments, and handle cash.
• Keep the bar clean, organized, stocked, and ready for service.
• Monitor inventory and communicate replenishment needs.
• Complete opening, closing, and cleaning duties.
• Follow health, sanitation, and vessel safety procedures.
• Work closely with servers and crew to ensure smooth service.
