About The Position

Fairmont Olympic Hotel is seeking a full-time Server Assistant for The George Restaurant. The role supports servers in delivering an outstanding dining experience by helping meet guest needs promptly, preparing and maintaining dining areas, welcoming guests, assisting with table service, and responding professionally to inquiries and special requests. The position requires a guest-focused, collaborative approach in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to focus on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous.
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for delivering exceptional service and creating memorable dining experiences.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team.
Valid authorization to work in the USA.
Food Handlers Card and MAST permit required.
Ability to stand throughout the shift with intermittent walking.
Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs at shoulder height.
Ability to perform repetitive bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting.

Nice To Haves

At least two years of high-volume restaurant serving experience preferred.
Previous experience as a server assistant or in a similar role preferred; training may be provided to the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Support servers in creating an outstanding dining experience and ensure guest needs are met promptly.
Set up and prepare dining areas, including arranging table settings and maintaining cleanliness and organization.
Welcome guests and provide a warm, inviting atmosphere.
Clear and reset tables efficiently to support smooth service flow.
Assist with delivering food and beverages to guest tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
Respond to guest inquiries and special requests courteously and professionally.
