About The Position

Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and friendly manner, following established brand and hotel guest-service and sustainability standards. This role supports guest satisfaction by taking and entering orders, serving food, maintaining dining areas and service stations, and completing guest checks and payment transactions when appropriate. The server may also perform bartending or bussing duties during staffing shortages or peak periods and follow safe-work, protective-equipment, MSDS, OSHA, and HHM EarthView sustainability guidelines. The stated growth path is Restaurant Supervisor, Banquet Server, or Captain; then Restaurant Manager or Banquet Manager. The work schedule varies and may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts. The position requires extended periods of standing and involves walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, and reaching.

Requirements

Previous food and beverage experience or equivalent training is required.
Knowledge of POS systems.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Nice To Haves

TIPS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Take food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-service system.
Ensure overall guest satisfaction and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest-satisfaction scores.
Set and clear tables in dining areas.
Stock service stations with items such as ice, napkins, and straws.
Pick up orders from food-preparation areas and ensure food is prepared accordingly.
Prepare guest checks and, when appropriate, complete payment transactions.
Perform bartending and bussing duties during staffing shortages or peak periods.
Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
