About The Position

Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and friendly manner, following established brand and hotel guest-service and sustainability standards. The role involves taking and entering orders, supporting guest satisfaction, preparing dining areas and service stations, delivering food, and processing guest checks and payments. Servers may also perform bartending or bussing duties during staffing shortages or peak periods.

The work schedule varies and may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts. The position requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, and reaching.

Requirements

• Previous food and beverage experience or equivalent training is required.
• Knowledge of POS systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• TIPS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-service system.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction and work toward improving departmental and overall guest-satisfaction scores.
• Set and clear tables in dining areas.
• Stock service stations with items such as ice, napkins, and straws.
• Pick up orders from food preparation areas and ensure food is prepared accordingly.
• Prepare guest checks and, when appropriate, complete payment transactions.
• Perform bartending and bussing duties during staffing shortages or peak periods.
• Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
