About The Position

Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and friendly manner, following established brand and hotel guest-service and sustainability standards. The role includes taking and entering orders, supporting guest satisfaction, maintaining dining areas and service stations, delivering food, handling guest checks and payments when appropriate, and assisting with other food-and-beverage functions during staffing shortages or peak periods. Follow HHM’s EarthView sustainability practices and workplace safety requirements, and perform other duties as requested by management. The stated growth path is Restaurant Supervisor, Banquet Server/Captain, Restaurant Manager, or Banquet Manager.

Requirements

Previous food-and-beverage experience or equivalent training is required.
Knowledge of POS systems.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
TIPS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Take food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-service system.
Ensure overall guest satisfaction and work toward improving departmental and overall guest-satisfaction scores.
Set and clear tables in dining areas.
Stock service stations with items such as ice, napkins, and straws.
Pick up orders from food-preparation areas and ensure food is prepared accordingly.
Prepare guest checks and, when appropriate, complete payment transactions.
Perform other food-and-beverage functions, such as bartending and bussing, during staffing shortages or peak periods.
Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
