About The Position

Fairmont Olympic Hotel is seeking a full-time Server Assistant for The George Restaurant. The role supports the restaurant's servers and helps provide guests with an exceptional dining experience. Duties include preparing and maintaining dining areas, welcoming guests, assisting with table service, and responding courteously to guest inquiries and special requests. The position is permanent and full-time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to focus on guest needs and remain calm and courteous.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for exceptional service and memorable dining experiences.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Valid authorization to work in the USA.
• Food Handlers Card and MAST permit required.

Nice To Haves

• At least two years of high-volume restaurant serving experience preferred.
• Previous experience as a server assistant or in a similar role preferred; training is available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Support servers in creating an outstanding dining experience by ensuring guests' needs are met promptly.
• Set up and prepare dining areas, including arranging table settings and maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Welcome guests and provide a warm, inviting atmosphere.
• Clear and reset tables efficiently to support smooth service.
• Deliver food and beverages to guest tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
• Respond to guest inquiries and special requests with courtesy and professionalism.
