About The Position

The Server Assistant role in Taqueria Centro provides quality service that exceeds guest and member expectations. The position works to create lasting guest relationships by proactively embracing service standards, adhering to safety regulations, and building knowledge to assist guests with their needs. The role supports restaurant and pool operations, including setup, food running, table service support, stocking, and cleaning. Duties may also include other guest requests or tasks assigned by the manager, or promptly referring requests to the appropriate department manager.

Requirements

Excellent communication and guest service skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to stand and walk during a shift for up to 8 hours.
Ability to carry a tray.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

Set up the restaurant and pool areas, including both back-of-house and front-of-house areas, and prepare the expo station.
Become familiar with menus and beverage offerings.
Run food, bus tables, polish glassware, reset tables, and pour or refill water.
Maintain ice supply and stock needed items; ensure products are fresh and of quality.
Clean the pool deck, cabanas, and pool bars.
Stock clean towel stations and take dirty towels to housekeeping.
Follow safety precautions and procedures to help maintain a safe environment for guests and employee partners.
Transport food items from the kitchen to the correct location.
Use a mop or broom as needed and take out trash.
Open or move umbrellas upon request and assist with moving tables and pool chairs.
Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a clean working area.
Carry a tray and assist with tasks assigned by the manager.
