About The Position

The Server Assistant supports Food & Beverage colleagues at La Hacienda and helps create a memorable dining experience through attentive guest service, thorough restaurant knowledge, and careful dining-room preparation and upkeep. The role includes assisting servers, clearing and setting tables, maintaining side stations and supplies, monitoring guests’ water, and completing assigned side work. The assistant is expected to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization throughout service and to remain calm, courteous, and focused on guest satisfaction.

Requirements

• At least one year of food and beverage experience.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly responsible and reliable.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work cohesively with colleagues as part of a team.
• Ability to focus on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous.

Responsibilities

• Provide sincere hospitality and support guest satisfaction.
• Learn restaurant products, procedures, and standards; answer questions and complete required tests.
• Assist servers as much as possible and coordinate with servers and other bussers to ensure enough help is available when tables finish.
• Clear tables after guests finish dining.
• Set tables flawlessly and check that settings are complete; align tables, chairs, and table items precisely.
• Stock side stations and maintain appropriate supplies of silverware, glassware, napkins, share plates, marking trays, and condiments.
• Polish items and keep them free of fingerprints and smudges; restock stations quietly and carefully.
• Maintain guests’ water levels and keep track of which tables are drinking each type of water.
• Pick up debris, clean spills or grease from the floor, and respond promptly to broken items with a broom and dustpan.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the dining room, including chairs, banquettes, and areas underneath tables.
• Help clean and stock supplies and organize and replenish linen pars.
• Complete all assigned side work before, during, and after the shift.
