SEO Manager

ReSupply•Boston, MA
•$120,000 - $145,000•Onsite

About The Position

ReSupply is seeking an experienced SEO Manager to shape and deliver its marketing strategy, helping make charitable giving simpler by connecting household-goods donors with charities and emergency relief. The SEO Manager will own organic search end to end, including technical SEO, local and service-area pages, content, and visibility in AI-generated answers. This is a hands-on role with no direct reports, combining strategic planning with execution and prioritizing work that drives bookings and revenue rather than vanity metrics. The role works closely with the paid search team, web designer, and engineering team to improve ReSupply’s digital experiences and visibility. The successful candidate will use search and conversion data to guide priorities, measure organic performance in terms of bookings and revenue, and explore AI search through practical testing. ReSupply’s small, collaborative team works together at its Downtown Boston headquarters in an open environment.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of hands-on SEO experience, including at least a couple of years owning an organic program end to end.
  • Strong technical SEO skills, including experience with Search Console, GA4, a site crawler, and a keyword research tool.
  • Ability to read HTML and structured data without assistance.
  • Local or multi-location SEO experience; service-area pages at scale are especially relevant.
  • Evidence that SEO work drove leads, bookings, or revenue.
  • A data-backed point of view on AI search, informed by personal testing.
  • Clear writing and the ability to persuade engineers and marketers to prioritize SEO work.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at a consumer service, marketplace, or home services company.
  • Experience with a site migration, including retaining the redirect map.
  • Some Python, SQL, or Apps Script experience for automation.

Responsibilities

  • Own the SEO roadmap and prioritize work based on its potential impact on bookings.
  • Maintain technical SEO health, including crawling, indexing, redirects, canonicals, site speed, and structured data; write actionable engineering tickets.
  • Improve local and service-area pages so they provide useful, relevant information for people in the areas ReSupply serves.
  • Test and develop a plan for ReSupply’s visibility in AI search platforms, including Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, ChatGPT, and Perplexity.
  • Turn keyword and search-intent research into content briefs, and write or edit priority pages when appropriate.
  • Report on organic search’s contribution to bookings and revenue, separating branded and non-branded performance.
  • Earn links and mentions through useful content and charity partnerships.
  • Use paid-search terms and conversion data to inform organic search work.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate tasks such as keyword clustering, drafting briefs, writing regex and scripts, and analyzing crawl exports.
  • Distinguish helpful AI-assisted content from mass-produced content that may harm the site.
  • Measure AI visibility using data such as referral traffic, citations, and resulting bookings.
  • Establish a baseline and audit the site and data during the first month.
  • Ship priority fixes and pilot improvements on a group of local pages during the second month.
  • Report on completed work, results, and next steps during the third month.

Benefits

  • Flexible PTO.
  • Early-exit Fridays year-round.
  • Company-provided lunch in the office every day.
  • 3% company 401(k) match.
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits.
  • 17 paid holidays.
  • Mission-driven work with tangible community impact.
