About The Position

The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Loan Operations is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the global delivery, risk management, and performance of loan processing functions. The SVP will lead a high-performing team across multiple regions, ensure operational excellence, drive client satisfaction, and implement scalable solutions that support business growth and regulatory requirements. This role is part of the Fund Administration team, which is Citco's core business and is one of the industry's most respected alternative asset and accounting services. The team works with some of the industry's most accomplished professionals to deliver award-winning services for the world's largest alternative credit lenders. Citco's total loan portfolio exceeds 100B, across a variety of asset and loan types including publicly traded bank debt, private syndications, middle market transactions, and commercial real estate. The team provides shadow and direct loan agency.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in loan operations, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
  • Deep understanding of syndicated loans, private credit, bilateral lending, and associated operational processes.
  • Proven track record of managing global teams and driving operational improvements.
  • Strong project management skills and experience with system implementations.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage global loan operations teams responsible for trade capture, funding, position management, reconciliations, and lifecycle events across syndicated and bilateral loans.
  • Define and execute strategic initiatives to scale operations, enhance controls, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (Middle Office, Fund Accounting, Compliance, IT) and external clients to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Provide governance oversight of agent notice workflows, system transitions, and issue resolution processes.
  • Build and maintain a strong risk and control environment by implementing the best practices and robust documentation standards.
  • Drive transformation projects include automation, system integration, and workflow optimization (e.g., Aexeo, Sentry, CitcoRecs).
  • Manage talent across global locations, including coaching, performance reviews, and succession planning.
  • Serve as an escalation point for clients and internal teams on complex or high-risk transactions.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, client SLAs, and regulatory obligations.
  • Contribute to the firm’s strategic direction through active participation in governance committees and global initiatives.
