About The Position

The Vice President of Operations promotes high-quality, patient-centered, cost-effective care by acquiring resources and assembling teams to coordinate and execute projects in accordance with the facility’s strategic plan. As a key member of the facility management team, the VP participates in institutional planning, policy development, priority setting, and management decisions, and has full operational responsibility for assigned departments. The role provides administrative and operational leadership, manages department performance and finances, and supports strategies that enhance the patient experience. The position is with TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center, a 109-bed acute care hospital in Springfield, Tennessee, serving Robertson County and surrounding areas.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration.
At least 2 years of experience in a hospital leadership role.

Responsibilities

Work with the Administrative Team to respond to Division and Group requests for market and facility information.
Collaborate with the Administrative Team and physicians to improve existing processes and services and develop new ones, including business and financial justification when appropriate.
Provide administrative and operational leadership for assigned departments.
Apply customer service principles to meet and exceed internal and external customer expectations.
Manage assigned department operations to achieve designated Key Performance Indicator targets.
Manage department finances through ongoing revenue and expense analysis, identifying potential variances and making adjustments as necessary.
Develop and update department goals in accordance with the facility’s strategic business plan, mission, and vision.
Meet leadership obligations under the Ethics and Compliance Program.
Build strong relationships with physicians, employees, and peers.
Use HCA tools, including PLUS, CERs, CAMS Projects, and Lawson, to manage responsibilities.
Stay informed about current Joint Commission, state, and federal guidelines, regulations, and standards.
Promote consistent, positive patient interactions and provide unparalleled patient service.
Maintain a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
Support the development and implementation of strategies to elevate the patient experience.
Perform other duties as assigned.
