About The Position

The Senior Upstream Product Manager, Monitoring leads product strategy, roadmap development, and lifecycle management for Medtronic’s monitoring platforms across acute and remote care settings. The role covers acute care monitoring solutions, remote patient monitoring offerings, and the Vital Sync platform within the HealthCast portfolio. It serves as the voice of the customer, working with research and development, clinical teams, regional marketing, and commercial organizations to ensure solutions address customer needs, improve workflows, and support business growth. The position is based on in-person collaboration, with a minimum of four days per week onsite. The role also leads customer and market insight activities, translates needs into product requirements, and partners with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new capabilities, support commercial execution, and improve products throughout their lifecycle.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required.
At least 7 years of product management, product marketing, or related experience in healthcare technology, medical devices, software, or digital health; alternatively, an advanced degree with at least 5 years of such experience.
For baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree satisfying the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Responsibilities

Define and drive product strategy for monitoring platforms across acute and remote care settings.
Own roadmap development and prioritization for monitoring solutions, including Vital Sync.
Identify market opportunities and customer needs to guide future investments.
Develop business cases and support portfolio planning decisions.
Lead voice-of-customer activities with clinicians, care teams, and health systems.
Translate customer needs into product requirements and prioritized features.
Monitor market trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies.
Partner with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Clinical, and Operations teams to develop and launch new capabilities.
Collaborate with downstream marketing and regional teams to support commercial execution.
Align product strategy, development priorities, and business objectives.
Manage product performance throughout the lifecycle.
Support launch planning, adoption initiatives, and portfolio expansion.
Drive continuous improvement based on customer feedback and market performance.
