About The Position

nyra health is hiring a Senior UI Designer to shape the visual design and production quality of myReha, its patient therapy app, and nyra insights, its clinician platform. Working closely with the Product Design Lead, who owns UX strategy, research and flows, this designer will serve as the dedicated UI specialist across iOS, Android and web. The role builds on an existing Figma component library and collaborates with the Brand Designer, frontend engineers and founders.

The designer will turn product direction and flows into polished, production-ready interfaces, with careful attention to layout, typography, color, iconography, motion and all interface states. They will work within and help evolve the design system, partner with frontend engineers to maintain design-to-code parity, and ensure accessibility to WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA from the outset. The work supports patients using digital tools during neurological rehabilitation outside clinic walls.

The position is based in Vienna, Austria, or preferably Germany, with regular visits to the Vienna office. Flexible hours are available depending on the role.

Requirements

• Demonstrated senior-level UI craft, including ownership of UI quality for a shipped product end-to-end, supported by a portfolio.
• Experience shipping digital products across mobile and/or web.
• Strong Figma skills across components, variables, auto-layout and shared libraries.
• Ability to work comfortably within an existing design system.
• Ability to collaborate as a peer with frontend engineers, understand implementation constraints and prevent implementation drift.
• Hands-on, proactive approach and comfort with ambiguity, moving quickly and working in a small team; startup or small-team experience is likely.
• Motivation to apply design craft to patient recovery.
• Daily use of AI tools in design and delivery work, and enthusiasm for using AI to accelerate craft.
• Fluent English and at least B1 German.

Nice To Haves

• Experience designing for users with cognitive or physical impairments.
• Background in healthcare, mental health or assistive technology.
• Motion design or interactive prototyping skills.

Responsibilities

• Bring pixel-level polish to screens, states and platforms for myReha and nyra insights.
• Turn flows and product direction into polished, buildable screens, including empty, loading, error and success states.
• Design with the existing Figma component library and tokens, and contribute to the evolution of components and patterns.
• Work as a peer with frontend engineers, follow designs through to production, and ensure shipped implementations match the designs.
• Apply WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA accessibility standards across screens.
