About the position
We are looking for a qualified and proficient Hardware Test Engineer to join our team in Den Bosch. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and executing test strategies and test plans to verify embedded systems, and will be able to analyze and evaluate test results, identify defects, and work with the hardware development team to resolve issues. As a member of our team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware development, software development, and product management, to ensure that hardware quality objectives are met.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and procedures for hardware products, including electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing.
- Analyze and evaluate test results, identify defects, and work with the hardware development team to resolve issues.
- Interface with external testing labs and perform environmental testing, as well as get involved in certification processes.
- Serve multifunctional autonomous squads operating in an Agile environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware development, software development, and product management, to ensure that hardware quality objectives are met.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices for hardware testing.
- Constantly push for ways to help improve device quality as well as design and manufacturing processes.
Requirements
- Hold a BSc degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other STEM discipline
- Have at least 5 years of experience in software testing, preferably in embedded systems and firmware
- Be an advanced user of a Unix-like operating system
- Strive to automate routine tasks and familiar with HDLs, programming/scripting languages, and testing frameworks (C/C++, Rust, Python, Bash, GoogleTest, PyTest or others)
- Be a self-starter, require minimal supervision, and take the initiative to drive change and get things done
- Be a critical optimist, skeptical about product quality, but keep a positive attitude and look optimistically to the future
- Be a team player, collaborative, flexible, fully committed to a team, and perform at your best to achieve a common goal
