About the position
We are seeking an Engineering Manager to join our team and contribute to the development of tools for customers in emerging markets. This role involves collaborating with cross-discipline leaders to enhance our product suite and cater to the unique needs of these markets. As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for coaching and developing the engineers on your team, participating in Scrum ceremonies, and maintaining a strong team culture. Experience in full-stack web applications, leadership ability, coaching and mentorship skills, and a passion for fostering a collaborative culture are essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver enhancements across various areas of the product suite
- Work closely with cross-discipline leaders to save customers time and establish Hudl in emerging markets
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies and maintain a strong team culture
- Coach, develop, and serve the engineers on the team
- Have experience in mature, full-stack web applications
- Take the lead on tackling ambiguous technical challenges and proposing solutions
- Provide technical input on others' work
- Provide coaching and mentorship to help engineers grow
- Foster a collaborative culture based on trust
- Have formal managerial experience (preferred)
- Have a professional background in C#, React, MongoDB, and/or AWS (preferred)
- Have examples of product partnership experience (preferred)
Requirements
- Experience in mature, full-stack web applications (5+ years)
- Leadership ability in tackling ambiguous technical challenges and proposing solutions
- Coaching and mentorship experience
- Passion for fostering a collaborative culture based on trust
- Formal managerial experience (preferred)
- Professional background in C#, React, MongoDB, and/or AWS (preferred)
- Examples of product partnership experience
