About The Position

YouGov is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to own the strategy and roadmap for its Data Integrations vertical. The role focuses on how YouGov data—including Profiles, BrandIndex, and custom research—reaches clients through APIs, MCP servers, and respondent-level data feeds, connecting YouGov’s data products with the tools, platforms, and AI workflows clients use. This is a hands-on technical product role with broad ownership, significant autonomy, and influence over senior stakeholders and commercial decisions. The successful candidate will develop the integration offering, including scaling the MCP product from beta, and define success measures such as adoption, usage, and time-to-integrate. They will explore client needs and developments in the AI-native data landscape, validate technical feasibility with clients and partners, and work across Data Strategy, Engineering, Commercial, Legal, and other teams to bring opportunities from ideation through launch. The role also owns integration documentation and self-serve resources, API and MCP support policies, and ongoing improvement of the integration experience. Products must meet agreed quality, security, and data-privacy standards. YouGov is a global online research company whose research is powered by a panel of more than 24 million registered members. Its stated social mission is to make millions of people’s opinions heard for the benefit of communities. YouGov describes its values as being fast, fearless, innovative, diligent, accurate, ethical, and grounded in proven methodologies. It aims to provide a supportive workplace where employees can bring their full selves to work.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in Enterprise SaaS Product Management, ideally shaping APIs, developer-facing products, or data platforms, and taking a product from concept through launch to scale.
  • Strong technical grounding in REST APIs, data delivery patterns, and integration workflows sufficient to engage credibly with engineers and client technical teams.
  • Familiarity with the AI-native data landscape, including MCP, LLM agents, and how clients connect data to tools such as Claude and Cursor.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to work with sales and partnership teams and reason about how product and technical decisions affect commercial outcomes.
  • Confidence working with clients and senior stakeholders, scoping use cases live, and raising concerns with clear recommendations.
  • Self-starting approach, ability to independently identify issues and lead explorations, and comfort owning a broad remit with substantial autonomy.
  • Strong analytical skills, curiosity, and willingness to experiment and work with uncertainty in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding English communication skills and ability to tailor communication to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Data literacy, including understanding the difference between aggregated and respondent-level data and assessing what different use cases require.
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to understand and bridge the perspectives of client technical teams, internal stakeholders, and commercial partners.
  • Awareness of data privacy, licensing, and security considerations when delivering respondent-level data to clients.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience with MCP.
  • Hands-on experience with data delivery, API integrations, or business intelligence tooling.
  • Familiarity with AI technologies, agentic workflows, and how data feeds into them.
  • Background in market research, audience intelligence, or ad tech.
  • Experience working with data partnerships or audience activation use cases.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy and roadmap for the Data Integrations vertical, including client-facing APIs, MCP servers, and direct data connections; define success measures such as adoption, usage, and time-to-integrate.
  • Expand the MCP offering from beta into a scaled, well-documented product solution.
  • Identify opportunities based on client needs, usage patterns, and changes in the AI-native data landscape, and turn them into prioritised problems to explore and solve.
  • Join client and partner conversations to validate technical feasibility, carefully scope use cases, and address potential technical or commercial issues early.
  • Bridge the perspectives of client technical teams, internal stakeholders, and commercial partners, translating ambiguous requests into clear, deliverable solutions.
  • Partner with Data Strategy, Engineering, and Commercial colleagues to guide opportunities from ideation to launch and ensure products meet agreed quality, security, and data-privacy standards.
  • Define and communicate what is and is not supported through API and MCP, including versioning and deprecation policies.
  • Work with Commercial and Legal teams on go-to-market approaches for integrations and consider how product decisions affect commercial outcomes.
  • Own the strategy for documentation, assets, and self-serve materials that help clients integrate faster with less assistance.
  • Track adoption and usage against agreed success measures and improve the integration experience.
  • Build effective working relationships with Product Director, Data Strategy, Engineering, Tech Enablement, Commercial, Legal, client technical teams, and partners.
