Technical Product Manager, Integrations

InvestCloud, Inc.•New York, NY
•$200,000 - $225,000

About The Position

Altic is a rules-based operational network intended to enable private markets to operate at scale within managed accounts. As Technical Product Manager, Integrations, you will own how data moves into, through, and out of the network, connecting wealth and trading platforms, custodians, transfer agents, and fund administrators. You will design reusable integration patterns across counterparties with varied technical capabilities, from modern APIs to nightly fixed-width or delimited file exchange, so alternatives trades can complete end to end with minimal manual intervention. The role combines technical product ownership, external collaboration, data modeling, integration design, and production quality. You will work from the network's rules and technical specification, define the data model and interfaces at the network boundary, and partner with engineering, architecture, governance, operations, business development, and counterparties throughout discovery, implementation, testing, and go-live. Success includes making subsequent integrations faster, ensuring production reliability, and reducing not-in-good-order transactions through validation at the boundary.

Requirements

  • Experience owning integrations as a product, with evidence of designing a pattern that made later onboardings faster.
  • Fluency with REST and JSON, webhooks, message queues, and batch file exchange.
  • Understanding of fixed-width and delimited files over SFTP in production, including control totals, late or partial files, and missed nightly cycles.
  • Ability to define and defend field meanings and requirements, and map counterparty formats to a canonical model without losing meaning.
  • Systems-thinking skills to determine where data should live and what should move between systems that were not designed to interoperate.
  • Understanding of the alternatives transaction lifecycle, including subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls, distributions, and post-trade servicing, and the roles of platforms, custodians, transfer agents, and fund administrators.
  • Ability to lead technical design sessions with counterparties, engage credibly with their architecture, and produce mutually agreed specifications.
  • Hands-on interest and experience using current AI techniques, no-code, and low-code tools to automate and prototype.
  • Personal attributes: careful attention to detail, comfort designing around counterparties' constraints, a preference for working prototypes, and willingness to treat production failures as design signals.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with DTCC Fund/SERV, NSCC Networking, or AIP.
  • Direct experience at a custodian, transfer agent, fund administrator, or wealth platform.
  • Alternatives operations or product experience at a firm such as iCapital or CAIS.
  • Order management or trading platform integration experience.
  • Knowledge of the wealth management channel and managed accounts, including model-driven and portfolio-driven trading.

Responsibilities

  • Own data flows between network participants and Altic across the alternatives trade lifecycle, including orders, confirmations, positions, activity, and cash.
  • Design target-state connectivity patterns for each participant type, favoring reusable patterns over accumulating bilateral integrations.
  • Determine the appropriate integration method, from real-time APIs to nightly files, based on counterparty capabilities and lifecycle needs.
  • Own the network-boundary data model, including field definitions, required and optional fields, and mappings from counterparty formats.
  • Lead technical discovery and integration design with wealth platforms, trading and order management platforms, custodians, transfer agents, and fund administrators.
  • Consume counterparty interfaces as they exist, including REST APIs, fixed-width or delimited SFTP files, and interfaces with limited documentation.
  • Work directly with counterparty technology teams through discovery, specification, testing, and go-live.
  • Reduce the cost and time of subsequent integrations through reusable patterns, reference implementations, and self-service documentation.
  • Own interfaces Altic exposes to participants, including API surfaces, file specifications, error semantics, and versioning.
  • Make interfaces accessible to build against through documentation, sandbox behavior, and usable test data.
  • Coordinate with the Network Rules and Governance product manager to align the technical specification with interface behavior, and flag rules that cannot be implemented as written.
  • Own production integration quality, including monitoring, reconciliation, failure modes, and surfacing exceptions to Operations.
  • Reduce not-in-good-order rates by moving validation upstream and rejecting invalid orders at the boundary.
  • Use AI to accelerate format mapping, test-data generation, specification drafting, and log analysis.
  • Work with Engineering on sequencing and scope while staying close to implementation and making credible trade-offs.
