About The Position

Sonar is seeking a deeply technical Marketing Technology Architect / Developer to lead the data architecture, custom code development, system integrations, and infrastructure scalability of its marketing engine. The role currently supports Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and may contribute to evaluating next-generation architecture such as Marketing Cloud Next. The company values platform-agnostic technical problem-solving, strong data architecture, and interest in marketing technology and AI-driven marketing innovations over specific certifications. The position prepares marketing data for Marketing Operations, builds scalable relational data models, and develops automated pipelines with the Data Team to move and transform data warehouse datasets into production-ready marketing data. It also involves writing custom platform code, developing personalization and web experiences, maintaining API integrations and bidirectional system syncs, and monitoring platform performance, security, privacy, and deliverability. The role is based in the location where it is posted, with three anchor days in the office each week: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Sonar is willing to support relocation for the right candidate. Sonar is an equal opportunity employer and may use AI tools to assist with parts of the hiring process; final hiring decisions are made by humans. Employment offers are contingent on background checks and reference verification.
