About The Position

Mission Intelligence Group is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support critical GEOINT missions across the National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and federal agency environments. The role provides technical leadership throughout the systems engineering lifecycle, delivering reliable, scalable, mission-focused capabilities for intelligence operations. It involves complex enterprise-level initiatives supporting national security objectives. The Senior Systems Engineer guides engineering work across requirements analysis, solution development, systems integration, test and evaluation, and strategic planning. The role collaborates with government stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to translate mission needs into technical solutions and integrate complex systems across organizational and agency boundaries. Work spans cloud, on-premises, and hybrid enterprise environments.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering, Engineering Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology Management, Information Systems, or a related STEM field; alternatively, four additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
For candidates with a non-STEM degree, two additional years of relevant experience.
12 or more years of relevant experience supporting government or industry programs involving DoD/IC acquisition processes, requirements management processes, PPBES processes, large-scale System of Systems environments, service-oriented architectures, and cloud, hybrid, or on-premises infrastructures.
Demonstrated understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle.
Knowledge of current NSG, ASG, and NRO enterprise environments.
Previous NGA and/or NSG/ASG program experience.
Previous Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD) program experience.
TS/SCI clearance adjudication or the ability to obtain SCI eligibility and successfully pass a polygraph.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor junior and mid-level systems engineers across all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle.
Guide requirements engineering, solutions engineering, integration, testing, reliability, resiliency, and maintainability activities.
Analyze and trace mission, user, system, and architectural requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
Assist government customers in translating mission and operational needs into technical requirements and capabilities.
Develop and evaluate solution designs based on emerging technologies and mission requirements.
Perform systems integration across complex enterprise environments.
Conduct Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments.
Support strategic technical planning, project management, risk management, and performance engineering.
Evaluate cloud service capabilities, workflows, scheduling constraints, and system performance.
Support allocation of requirements to systems architecture components and operational programs.
Integrate systems, services, processes, and interfaces across major acquisition programs.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the DoD, Intelligence Community, and federal organizations to deliver mission-focused solutions.
