About The Position

The expectation of this position is to lead and direct a team to achieve the Pedigree farm objectives. The essential functions of this position include: Achieving production objectives. Ensuring compliance with regulations and operational objectives. Hiring, developing, and maintaining qualified and effective team members. Developing and maintaining positive employee relations. Compiling and analyzing flock production system data. Operating within approved operational and capital budget guidelines. Ensuring infrastructure is effectively maintained.

Requirements

• College degree or equivalent experience required
• Limited experience required
• Proficiency in data collection and management using Microsoft Office applications is required
• Must be able to work independently and evaluate alternatives in situations not covered by written procedures
• Must use safe lifting techniques
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid contact with any avian species, including chickens, ducks, and other birds
• The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times
• When visiting facilities, team members are expected to follow all required safety procedures and wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

Nice To Haves

• A college degree in poultry science is preferred
