About The Position

The expectation of this position is to lead and direct a team to achieve the Pedigree farm objectives. This is an entry-level professional position responsible for supervising an individual or small group of non-exempt team members (e.g., clerical, administrative, and production employees). Responsibilities include providing training, monitoring work quality, and coaching team members on performance. The role requires the ability to work independently and evaluate alternatives in situations not covered by written procedures. The job site is a biosecurity-controlled environment that requires showering before entering the facility and may require multiple showers throughout the workday. Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the job site except for medical identification jewelry. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Proficiency in data collection and management using Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Must be able to work independently and evaluate alternatives in situations not covered by written procedures.
  • Must use safe lifting techniques.
  • Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid contact with any avian species, including chickens, ducks, and other birds.
  • The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times.
  • When visiting facilities, team members are expected to follow all required safety procedures and wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
