About The Position

Walmart is hiring a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repair of refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets at Walmart facilities. The technician applies commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment. The role includes responding to work orders and emergency maintenance calls, diagnosing equipment issues, and completing required safety training. Work must comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and Walmart's refrigeration HVAC safety and environmental guidelines. The position requires lifting up to 75 pounds, using ladders, and frequently working at heights. The listed salary range is $56,160–$106,080, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus available at select locations. Eligible associates may also receive bonus incentives. Requirements

At least 10 years of experience in commercial refrigeration and HVAC maintenance.
Experience with large-scale rack refrigeration.
Type I, Type II, or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
Valid state-issued driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record report.
At least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair Walmart facilities' refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and appropriate tools and equipment.
Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders supporting stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
Perform work in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart refrigeration HVAC safety and environmental guidelines.
