About The Position

OpusClip is hiring an AI Product Manager to own the core product roadmap for its AI video product, used by more than 20 million creators and businesses. Based at the Mountain View headquarters, the role focuses on AI-powered product features where model capability is central to the user experience. The Product Manager will set direction and success metrics, ensure generated outputs meet a high quality bar, and ship polished features at the pace of a rapidly shipping team. The role partners closely with engineering and design to turn multimodal models and agents into useful features for creators. It involves running user research, using product data and hands-on product experience to identify customer needs, and establishing a repeatable approach to scoping, validating, evaluating, and shipping AI features. The position also helps raise the product-management bar across the broader team by sharing that playbook. The role is based on-site in Mountain View and requires daily collaboration across time zones with teams in Shanghai and Vancouver. The company seeks someone comfortable with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and operating a mature, high-usage product with real constraints.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of product-management experience.
  • Track record of owning and shipping complex, high-usage features on a consumer or prosumer product.
  • Deep, hands-on fluency with AI, including the ability to assess model capabilities through direct testing and distinguish model, prompt, and product problems.
  • Experience evaluating generative outputs and creating a repeatable method for determining whether outputs are ready to ship.
  • Strong prioritization skills and ability to work backward from outcomes, explain roadmap priorities, and defer lower-priority work.
  • Strong ownership, including independently closing loops by shipping, reviewing data, and deciding whether to iterate or stop.
  • Defensible product taste and ability to articulate what is wrong with products as well as what works.
  • Experience building consumer-facing (B2C) products and conducting direct user research.
  • Based in the Bay Area and able to work on-site in Mountain View.
  • Comfortable partnering daily with Shanghai and Vancouver teams across time zones.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration.
  • Has used a video-editing or content-creation tool within the past year.

Nice To Haves

  • Built evaluations for a generative feature or worked with fine-tuned or post-trained models in production.
  • Experience taking a product from early product-market fit to a mature, high-scale stage.
  • Experience with short-form video, content creation, or creator tools.
  • Direct experience shipping AI- or LLM-powered features.
  • Ability to prototype using code or no-code tools.

Responsibilities

  • Set the strategy and roadmap direction for an assigned product surface, define the metrics it should affect, and be accountable for results.
  • Define what constitutes good output for generative features, build repeatable evaluations, and use evaluation results to guide launch decisions.
  • Set and uphold the product quality bar so that features are considered, polished, and worthy of users’ trust.
  • Manage multiple feature workstreams in parallel while maintaining depth and craft.
  • Develop a repeatable playbook for scoping, validating, and shipping AI-powered features, and share it with the broader product-management team.
  • Partner closely with engineering and design to translate multimodal models, agents, and other frontier AI capabilities into features creators use regularly.
  • Conduct direct user research, use data, and engage hands-on with the product to identify unmet creator needs.
  • Work on-site in Mountain View and partner daily with teams in Shanghai and Vancouver across time zones.
