About The Position

GEICO is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer to set technical direction and deliver secure, resilient Microsoft 365 and AI capabilities. The role translates complex business needs into secure, maintainable, measurable solutions and leads architecture and engineering decisions for cross-functional capabilities and integrations. This self-directed technical leader shapes strategy and leads execution of technical roadmaps across teams. As a lead contributor and approver, the engineer establishes standards for architecture, engineering patterns, code, automation, configuration, security, reliability, and operational readiness, while mentoring engineers and administrators and creating reusable guidance and tooling. The position provides technical leadership for Microsoft 365 workloads including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Graph. It also leads technical strategy, engineering, and governance for M365 Copilot and related AI capabilities, applying secure patterns, responsible AI controls, evaluation, and human oversight. The engineer partners across technical and control functions, influences leaders with evidence-based recommendations, and advances platform maturity and adoption. The role is hybrid, with three days onsite. GEICO lists an annual salary range of $130,000 to $260,000. GEICO will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
