NVIDIA is seeking a self-motivated senior software engineer to drive development, performance, and scalability of the Aerial CUDA Accelerated RAN platform, a framework for building high-performance, software-defined, cloud-native Radio Access Network functions on NVIDIA CPU/GPU/DPU systems. The role focuses on cutting-edge technology for 5G and 6G networks and software-defined digital signal processing. The engineer will develop an end-to-end reference system stack for 5G/6G baseband systems, optimize platform subsystems, implement baseband functions, and support integration, testing, demonstrations, and customer or partner trials. The role also serves as a technical bridge between NVIDIA engineering teams and partner or customer engineering teams. The ideal candidate has a wireless communications or digital signal processing background and experience building carrier-grade communications systems, including PHY/MAC or baseband unit software. They should understand PHY/MAC procedures, LTE/5G systems, 3GPP specifications, and system performance tradeoffs, and be able to work across both high-level system design and low-level implementation details. The position requires at least eight years of related experience. An MS or PhD in a relevant field, or equivalent experience, is requested; CUDA/GPU programming experience is a plus. The base salary range is $184,000–$287,500 for Level 4 and $224,000–$356,500 for Level 5. Salary depends on location, experience, and pay of employees in similar positions. The role is also eligible for equity and benefits. Applications will be accepted at least until October 31, 2026. This posting is for an existing vacancy. NVIDIA uses AI tools in its recruiting processes and is an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive workplace.
