Senior Software Engineer

Garner is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team and contribute to their mission of transforming the healthcare economy. The role involves designing, building, and launching new features for the Garner app, as well as improving its overall quality. The ideal candidate should have expertise in TypeScript or modern JavaScript, familiarity with React, NodeJS, and Docker, and experience with database systems like PostgreSQL or ElasticSearch. • Design, build, and launch new features for the Garner app
• Improve the overall quality of the Garner app
• Collaborate with other disciplines to understand users and iterate on new ideas
• Protect users' privacy and security through secure coding practices
• Support the Garner app in production
• Deliver full-stack software
• Use TypeScript or modern JavaScript for development
• Familiarity with React, NodeJS, Docker, and a major cloud provider
• Experience with database systems, especially PostgreSQL or ElasticSearch
• Work in a team using agile methodologies
• Be mission-driven and contribute to changing the healthcare system
• Work in a small, fast-paced team that adapts to new challenges
• Ideate on new features and work with data to find insights
• Research and work with new technologies and techniques.

• 6+ years hands-on work delivering full-stack software
• Expertise in TypeScript (preferred) or modern JavaScript
• Familiarity with React, NodeJS, Docker, and a major cloud provider
• Experience with one or more database systems, especially PostgreSQL or ElasticSearch
• Experience working in a team using agile methodologies and fluency with the agile toolkit
• Mission-driven and interested in changing the healthcare system
• Comfortable working on a small, fast-paced team
• Strong ideation skills and ability to work with data for insights
