About the position
Garner is seeking a Contract Customer Service Representative to join their team and provide support to Garner members. The role involves engaging with members via phone, chat, and email to help them understand and utilize their healthcare benefits, find the right healthcare providers, and assist with eligible claims. The ideal candidate should have a passion for helping people, excellent communication skills, and the ability to think creatively and empathetically. This is a fully remote contract position with a focus on member support and a commitment to delivering amazing service.
Responsibilities
- Delivering amazing service to members via phone, chat, and email
- Offering education and guidance to help members understand and utilize their benefits
- Assisting members in finding the right healthcare provider for their needs
- Following documented best practices for handling member inquiries
- Suggesting process improvements as identified
- Managing and organizing workload using Garner's platform and tools (Zendesk and G Suite)
- Triaging and escalating complex and urgent member care needs
- Retaining detailed knowledge of employer health benefits and insurance
- Relaying member feedback to leadership teams for improvement of Garner's solution
