Senior Software Development Engineer, High Value Send Experience

Remitly•Seattle, WA
•$180,000 - $225,000•Hybrid

About The Position

As a Senior Software Development Engineer on Remitly’s High Value Send Experience team, you will build systems that earn the trust of customers sending large international transfers for milestones such as real estate, education, and long-term investments. This full-stack role covers customer-facing web and mobile experiences and involves close partnership with foundational teams across identity and trust, money movement, and pricing. You will work with product, design, and engineering peers to shape experiences for customers making consequential transfers. The position reports to the Engineering Manager for the team. The role involves leading technical design and architecture for complex, sometimes greenfield systems; delivering reliable, observable, scalable web, mobile, and backend services against availability and latency SLOs; and using customer insight and data to inform technical decisions. You will also collaborate across product, design, analytics, and partner engineering, use AI tools in your software development workflow, and contribute to team engineering practices through mentoring, technical discussions, code reviews, and advocacy for strong coding, testing, and system-design practices. The position follows Remitly’s hybrid-work expectations, with onsite work Tuesday through Thursday each week. Additional onsite attendance may be required based on business needs, and the company may change its hybrid-work expectations.
