About The Position

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to support a major national laboratory. The role involves investigating, planning, gathering requirements, designing, developing, testing, documenting, analyzing problems, and supporting software systems and applications. The developer supports the design of reusable software tools and subsystems, helps interpret requirements and design specifications, and codes, integrates, and tests components to meet project objectives. The position also includes analyzing functional business applications and design specifications across areas such as finance, accounting, personnel, manpower, logistics, and contracts; translating detailed designs into software; testing, debugging, and refining software; preparing documentation; and providing technical direction to programmers. The developer will design, develop, test, and deploy custom applications and integrations on the ServiceNow platform; implement and support multiple ServiceNow modules; collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and end-users to turn requirements into technical solutions; enhance existing applications; troubleshoot application and workflow issues; and maintain technical documentation. The role also ensures development complies with security policies and best practices, provides training and support, and keeps current with ServiceNow updates and industry practices. The candidate can work remotely but must be willing to travel onsite as needed. A DOE Q Clearance must be obtained and maintained, and U.S. citizenship is required.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant discipline.
At least 7 years of directly related experience demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the job duties.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance.
U.S. citizenship.
Experience with Service Platform Configuration.
Proven experience implementing and supporting multiple ServiceNow modules.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow scripting, including Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and Script Includes.
Experience with ServiceNow integration techniques such as REST, SOAP, and MID Server.
Familiarity with ITIL processes and their relationship to ServiceNow modules.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Willingness to travel onsite as needed.

Nice To Haves

ServiceNow certifications, such as Certified System Administrator or Certified Application Developer.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy custom applications and integrations on the ServiceNow platform.
Implement and support multiple ServiceNow modules, including Incident Management, Change Management, Asset Management, CMDB, Service Catalog, and Knowledge Management.
Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and end-users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Maintain and enhance existing ServiceNow applications to improve functionality and user experience.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ServiceNow applications and workflows.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, user guides, and support procedures.
Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices in application development.
Provide training and support to end-users and other IT staff as needed.
Stay current with ServiceNow platform updates, new features, and industry best practices.
Investigate, plan, gather requirements, design, develop, test, document, analyze problems, and support software systems and applications.
Support the design of reusable software tools and subsystems, and assist with interpreting software requirements and design specifications.
Code, integrate, test, debug, and refine software components to meet project objectives and produce high-quality products.

Prepare comprehensive documentation and enhance software to improve efficiency.
Provide technical direction to programmers to help ensure project deadlines are met.
