About The Position

West Monroe is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to help clients modernize Security Operations (SecOps) and Operational Technology (OT) workflows on the ServiceNow platform. The role serves as a technical leader on complex client engagements, defining scalable architectures and delivering hands-on implementations. Candidates need deep implementation experience in either SecOps or OT; experience in both is highly valued. The position partners with industry and functional domain experts and client stakeholders to deliver outcomes-focused solutions. The developer leads technical workstreams, designs and configures SecOps and OT solutions, builds integrations, and models OT assets and relationships using CMDB/CSDM patterns. The role also owns technical quality across reviews, testing, troubleshooting, release support, and documentation; mentors colleagues; applies AI and automation tools with sound validation; and contributes to the practice’s knowledge sharing, recruiting, and thought leadership. Travel of 25–50% is required, and candidates must be able to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience developing and configuring solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Deep hands-on implementation experience in at least one specialty: ServiceNow Security Operations, including Security Incident Response, Vulnerability Response, or Threat Intelligence; or ServiceNow Operational Technology, including Operational Technology Manager/Data Modelling, OT Vulnerability Response, or OT Incident Management.
  • Working familiarity with the adjacent Security Operations or Operational Technology domain and ability to collaborate with specialists across security, IT operations, and industrial operations.
  • Experience with CMDB configuration items and relationships, asset or CI data imports, reconciliation, CSDM concepts, and data-quality considerations affecting prioritization and workflow outcomes.
  • Experience designing integrations using IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP APIs, ETL, Service Graph Connectors, or related ServiceNow integration patterns.
  • Strong ServiceNow development skills, including JavaScript, Flow Designer, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, ACLs, workspaces, reporting, and dashboards.
  • Experience leading technical workstreams or owning ServiceNow development deliverables through requirements, build, testing, migration, release, and documentation.
  • Ability to travel 25–50%.
  • Ability to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Commitment to inclusion and diversity and openness to new ideas and perspectives.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on ServiceNow delivery experience across both SecOps and OT, particularly where vulnerability or incident workflows cross IT and industrial environments.
  • Experience working with utilities, manufacturing, energy, transportation, life sciences, or other critical-infrastructure and asset-intensive environments.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Application Developer (CAD), or relevant Security Incident Response, Vulnerability Response, or Data Foundations implementation certifications.
  • Experience incorporating AI tools into day-to-day delivery workflows while assessing accuracy, security, bias, and output quality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead ServiceNow Security Operations and Operational Technology development workstreams from requirements and technical design through configuration, testing, deployment, and documentation.
  • Design and configure Security Operations solutions, including Security Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability Response, Unified Security Exposure Management, Security Posture Control, and Configuration Compliance.
  • Integrate vulnerability scanners, SIEM and SOAR platforms, and other enterprise systems using Service Graph Connectors, IntegrationHub, and certified integrations where applicable.
  • Design and configure Operational Technology Manager, OT Vulnerability Response, OT Incident Management, Industrial Workspace, and related OT workflows.
  • Model OT devices, sites, equipment, production-process context, configuration items, and relationships using CMDB/CSDM patterns to support asset criticality, reporting, and remediation prioritization.
  • Configure and customize ServiceNow using JavaScript, Flow Designer, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, ACLs, workspaces, reporting, and dashboards.
  • Own technical quality through design reviews, code and configuration reviews, testing, troubleshooting, release support, documentation, and proactive delivery-risk management.
  • Use AI and automation tools to accelerate analysis and improve delivery efficiency, validating outputs with sound judgment.
  • Mentor developers and consultants and build ServiceNow SecOps and OT technical capabilities across the practice.
