About The Position
TekWissen is recruiting a Senior SAP Transportation Management (TM) Consultant for a temporary onsite assignment in Toledo, Ohio. The consultant will lead the design, configuration, implementation, and optimization of SAP TM solutions in SAP S/4HANA environments. The role partners with business stakeholders, supply chain teams, and technical teams to deliver scalable solutions for logistics execution, transportation planning, freight management, settlement processing, and supply chain efficiency. The consultant will support the full solution lifecycle, from requirements gathering and architecture through configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. The role also addresses complex production issues, promotes continuous improvement, and mentors team members. The position requires 9–12 years of SAP experience, including significant hands-on SAP TM expertise and strong SAP S/4HANA integration experience.
Requirements
- 9–12 years of SAP experience with significant hands-on expertise in SAP Transportation Management.
- Proven experience implementing and supporting SAP TM solutions in enterprise environments.
- Strong SAP S/4HANA integration experience.
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into scalable system solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Skills in SAP TM, SAP S/4HANA, transportation planning and execution, freight settlement, stakeholder management, business process analysis, solution design and configuration, integration management, testing and quality assurance, production support and troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement SAP TM solutions aligned with business and supply chain requirements.
- Develop scalable transportation management processes and best practices.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define future-state solutions and roadmaps.
- Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions with business users and functional teams.
- Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Recommend process improvements and system enhancements.
- Configure SAP TM to support transportation planning, execution, freight settlement, and logistics operations.
- Lead and support end-to-end implementation activities, including design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Integrate SAP TM with SAP S/4HANA and related supply chain applications, ensuring reliable data flow across transportation, logistics, warehouse, and enterprise systems.
- Develop and execute unit, integration, and user acceptance testing strategies; validate requirements and support successful deployment.
- Analyze and resolve complex functional and technical issues, support users, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Identify opportunities to optimize transportation processes and system performance, and implement enhancements that improve operational efficiency and user adoption.
- Mentor junior consultants and team members, promote SAP TM best practices, and contribute to knowledge sharing.
